John McCain: Do Town Halls With Me or I’ll Keep Lying

I’ve seen several McCain lackeys make this argument: If Barack Obama had agreed to do the town hall meetings John McCain suggested, the campaign wouldn’t have deteriorated the way that it has.  I’m not sure I understand the logic.  Barack Obama refused to participate in John McCain’s town hall meetings therefore the McCain campaign has been forced to lie about him? Does that mean that if Obama agrees to participate in town halls, they’ll stop lying?

I see.  Facts are hostages and the McCain campaign will distort them in whatever way it sees fit until it gets its way.  I’m sure the rest of the world will be relieved when President McCain behaves this way toward Russia.  Oh, what am I saying?  John McCain voted with George Bush 90% of the time.  Screw the rest of the world.
