Right Wingers: B. Hussein Obama Admits He’s a Muslim!!1!!!!11!!!

Republican bloggers are all worked up today over this clip of Barack Obama on This Week With George Stephanopoulos:

See? That first clip is what we lawyers — I’m a lawyer — call bullshit.

In fairness, Allah put the smackdown on his base by declaring in his headline that “Obama didn’t “admit” to being a Muslim on ABC,” and asked for a cessation of emails on the subject.  Charles Johnson later clarified that he was “not saying that Obama has made a shocking Freudian slip and revealed a secret devotion to Islam.”

Conservatives seem awfully willing to believe any theory about Obama — no matter how absurd — which in their minds prove that Obama is unfit for office.  Ironic that they’re willing to give such a wide berth to a half-term governor who wanted to ban books from a public library, is the subject of an ethics investigation, has ties to a radical anti-American group, left a $20 million debt at the end of her term of the tiny town of Wasilla, and has never been to Iraq.

And speaking of not going to Iraq, does John McCain believe Sarah Palin is ignorant of the “facts on the ground” there?  Would he characterize her as a successful ‘young woman with very little experience‘?  I only ask because in May, he said,

Sen. Obama has been to Iraq once — a little over two years ago he went and he has never seized the opportunity except in a hearing to meet with Gen. [David] Petraeus. My friends, this is about leadership and learning.
