Obama 282, McCain 256 is still what matters, but a lead this significant nationally will translate into movement in various state polls:
The poll found that, among likely voters, Obama now leads McCain by 52 percent to 43 percent. Two weeks ago, in the days immediately following the Republican National Convention, the race was essentially even, with McCain at 49 percent and Obama at 47 percent.
There’s plenty of time for the Republicans to come back, even though they appear to be panicking. Given the McCain campaign’s willingness to be flexible with the facts, however, something’s surely coming and chances are it won’t be true.
Obama better be prepared to preempt the October surprise McCain’s surely preparing to spring.
UPDATE:
That didn’t take long. Via Political Wire:

Ohio: Obama 47%, McCain 45%
Pennsylvania: Obama 49%, McCain 44%
