It’s been four days since Republican Senator Ted Stevens became a convicted felon. The Republican Party — despite individual calls for his resignation by John McCain and Mitch McConnell — still supports his reelection. Here’s the NRSC website today (note in particular the right sidebar which claims that Mark Begich — the only non-felon in the race — is “unfit for office”):
