Obama and McCain did dueling stand up routines at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Dinner in New York last night. Not to spoil the fun, but if you don’t have time to watch the videos (they’re about 15 minutes each), here are the best lines of the night:
From Obama, noting that the dinner was being held at the Waldorf: “They tell me that from the doorstep, you can see the Russian Tea Room.”
Explaining that he and his opponent are friends, McCain said ”That One” is just his nickname for Obama. “Barack has a pet name for me too,” McCain said, “George Bush.”
