Obama has two new ads out today. The first is probably the darkest of the campaign so far, but very effective if only because it ties McCain so directly to Bush and the jobs lost this year:

Finally, a new one from incumbent Republican Senator Gordon Smith of Oregon which illustrates just how different this cycle is. Smith was last seen advertising his admiration for Barack Obama and John Kerry while bashing George W. Bush. Here, he touts his his close relationship with Republican boogeyman Ted Kennedy:
