Are African-Americans turning on President Obama?

Hardly. President Obama won 96 percent of the African-American vote last year and is almost certain to get those numbers again in 2012.

Nevertheless, the Congressional Black Caucus recently criticized the President over economic policy and jobs. As a result, Obama found himself on the defensive in an interview with April Ryan of the Urban Radio Network.

On Friday’s Partisan Gridlock, African-American community leader (and Breakfast Klub proprietor) Marcus Davis and Houston Democratic political guru Mustafa Tameez discussed President Obama’s standing in the community that supports him most.

Plus, how can so many non-Jews not know what we do on Christmas day? Our Christmas tradition isn’t a celebratory religious affair, of course, but it’s still more fun than staying home and playing Mahjong. Listeners guess what it is for t-shirts and bragging rights.

Listen here.

Partisan Gridlock with Geoff Berg airs every Friday from 3:00 – 4:00 pm on KPFT, 90.1 FM in Houston, 89.5 FM in Galveston, and everywhere else on Facebook or at www.kpft.org.
