According to the former governor, she’s avoiding the media because in 2008 journalists (as opposed to the words which came out of her mouth) made her look stupid. Now she’s retaliating by boycotting them, in much the same way a patient might refuse chemotherapy to punish the doctor who diagnosed cancer.
