A great ad that hammers home two critical themes: the Bush economy is in the crapper and John McCain = George Bush.

How does anyone watch this and not want to be part of it?

Note that he never mentions John McCain. Janice’s question:

Why shouldn’t a regular moose-hunting Joe Sixpack, Hockey Mom type run the world’s largest, most complex economy? What are you, some kind of elitist?

John McCain began running this ad today:

That’s great. Without giving any details, he’s going to make the stock market correct itself, magically rebuild peoples’ savings, and make investments “grow again.” In another lifetime, the McCain campaign didn’t think much of people who made grandiose promises without the wherewithal to make it happen:

The Obama campaign’s overriding theme has been that if you liked the last eight years under George W. Bush, you’ll love the next four under John McCain.  So last night, McCain was ready with a zinger. There’s only one problem with what McCain said and today, the Obama campaign’s turned it into an ad:

Think way, way back: the date was October 10, 2008 (last Friday). The McCain campaign had inflamed such vicious hatred for Barack Obama that the candidate himself was forced to stand up for his opponent against an angry mob of ignoramuses:
