Campbell Brown: No Bias, No Bull, No Point

Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, who should know better, was caught by an open mic yesterday  making demonstrably false statements — Sarah Palin is “no genius,” for example.
Rendell also said that Arizona Governor and Homeland Security Secretary-nominee Janet Napolitano is perfect for the job because she has no family, “no life” and can devote “literally 19, [...]

Pawlenty Doesn’t Deny Selection of Palin Was a Mistake

Minnesota’s Republican governor, Tim Pawlenty, was runner-up (or close to it) in McCain’s VP search. I was certain that McCain would select him as his running mate (shows what I know — McCain really outsmarted all of us on that one).
Pawlenty is young, well spoken, and popular in a Democratic state. Had he been picked, [...]

John King: McCain Giving up on Colorado, Betting it all on Pennsylvania

To nobody’s surprise, McCain aides have apparently given up on Iowa and New Mexico. But they’ve also concluded that “Obama will win Colorado.” So now, the aides say, McCain has to win Nevada, Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia and Pennsylvania to have any shot at the presidency.
Over the past couple of weeks, as polls have [...]

Oh, Snap! (Second Meeting of the Debbie Wasserman-Schultz Fan Club)

Appearing on CNN’s Late Edition today, Obama supporter Debbie Wasserman-Schultz pounded the bejesus out of Congresswoman Heather Wilson of New Mexico. It was a bitter exchange on the election in which McCain supporter Wilson (who frequently just keeps talking even when her turn is over) tried to end with a zinger. Quoth Wilson at the [...]

Sarah Palin: Don’t You Want Someone as Gullible as You Are Running the Economy?

Reporting on the House’s passage of the Wall Street bailout today, CNN’s Frank Sesno relates the mood of the country:
the salient public emotion about the current situation is anger: “Anger at Wall Street, anger at Washington, anger at the Congress, anger at the White House.”
People certainly aren’t going to be angry at themselves, and, for [...]

Sarah Palin Witness Protection Program Watch VI

Left-wing propaganda machine CNN reports that it appears the McCain campaign is keeping Sarah Palin away from reporters.  The people, of course, don’t need to see her conduct a news conference to know that she’s qualified for office. She’s a hockey mom who hunts moose, for God’s sake. What else do we need to know? Give [...]

CNN’s Campbell Brown Tears the McCain Campaign a New One for its Sexist Treatment of Sarah Palin (Updated)

From last night’s Election Center:

Substantively, I’m not sure I agree that the McCain campaign’s treatment of Sarah Palin is sexist.  His campaign is keeping her from the press not because she’s a woman, but because she’s an ignoramus. If Palin were a man and this unqualified for office, I’m sure the McCain campaign would be [...]

CNN: John McCain and Sarah Palin, Truth; Truth, John McCain and Sarah Palin

Here’s CNN’s fact check on John McCain and Sarah Palin.  The results are predictable.
Keep in mind that this is from the liberal, biased media.  CNN’s report in particular straightforwardly compares McCain and Palin’s claims to “facts,” reliance on which, as we all know, is the first step down the slippery slope to socialism.

You almost have [...]

Russel Honoré, Ovah

From our exile in Austin, we watched Louisiana native Ret. Gen. Russel Honoré talk about getting supplies to those stranded by Hurricane Ike.  Honoré is clearly the best disaster relief expert in the country. And everyone on television ought to conclude their statements this way.

Sorry for the poor quality of the video.  We’re stranded.

How to Make a Reporter Heel

Yesterday, Bill Bennett tore into CNN reporter Kyra Phillips for what he thought was an unfair bit of reporting on Sarah Palin live from Alaska.  It made for an uncomfortable moment.  Here’s the video.

No video yet, but tonight, as the Republican convention really gets underway, Philips did another remote from Juneau.  This time, though, her “report” [...]
